Luke Shankula is the founder of Direct Authority AI, a coaching community of 200+ mortgage professionals learning to use AI authentically, and the creator of Duplico, a voice-first AI content platform with 50+ tools built specifically for the mortgage industry. After being laid off in 2017, Luke built Loans on Demand into a lead generation service serving over 100 loan officers before pivoting to AI education in 2023. He speaks at major mortgage industry conferences including MortgageCon, AIME Fuse, the IMN Mortgage AI Conference, HMA Sales Rally, and MMLA about his philosophy that in a world where everyone has access to the same AI tools, your authentic voice is the only competitive advantage that cannot be replicated. Luke hosts the monthly AI for Loan Officer Summit, which draws 600+ registrants per event. He has been featured in National Mortgage News, NBC, and Yahoo Finance. He lives in San Diego, California with his wife and four children.
